Hi there! My name is Violet and I am a recent history graduate who is just starting freelance writing.

My work is featured in several publications which you can view here. I am also listed as a top writer in books, fiction and reading over on Medium.

I like to write reviews, op-eds, lifestyle pieces and comment articles.

My interests include (but are not restricted to) current affairs, anything literature related and issues of social inequality.

Copywriting

In August 2020, I secured my first freelance copywriting client, and have already supplied an array of blog based commercial content. My clients have included Hotel Chocolat and Ernest Jones.

I am available for copywriting on a freelance basis, please contact me if you want to discuss rates.

Commission

I am always available to take commissions (especially for op-eds, comment articles, lifestyle pieces and first-person essays) if you would like to chat about anything just drop me an email.

Editing and proofreading

I am currently accepting requests for editing or proofreading.

My experience includes being the Editorial Director of a student media company for two years, and more recently, becoming a general editor for Backbench UK.

Review requests

I am currently not accepting book review requests, due to a backlog. This space will be updated in due course, in the meantime, you can see my reviewing policy here.

My favourite genres are literary fiction, general fiction and crime fiction, but I am open to accepting all genres. Please contact me if you have a request or any queries.
